There are many unique things that can only be witnessed during this time. Drive along Turnagain Arm with the scenic Kenai Mountains as a perfect backdrop, ski at Alyeska - Alaska’s largest ski area, enjoy a guided snowmobile tour from Talkeetna and visit Chena Hot Springs Resort with its renown mineral pools and the perfect place for Northern Lights Viewing.

TOUR ITINERARY  
Day 01 Anchorage – Alyeska Ski Resort
Arrival in Anchorage. Pick up your 4x4 rental car and drive along the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet through the Chugach State Park with panoramic views of the Chugach & Kenai Mountains. At the Beluga Viewpoint you have a good chance to spot Dall Sheep, Mountain Goats or Moose. Overnight at Alaska’s only four Diamond Resort Hotel nestled at the base of Alyeska Mountain.

Day 02 Alyeska Ski Resort
The Alyeska Ski Resort is remarkably the lowest base elevation (250 feet) for any major ski resort in the United States. This burgeoning mountain resort features 1,000 acres of terrain, ranging from gentle slopes for beginners to double black diamond runs to challenge the experts -- all surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Chugach Range. Cross-country skiers can enjoy 50 km of untracked trails. More winter activities include Dog Sledding, Snowshoeing, Ice Skating and Sledding. 

Day 03 Alyeska Ski Resort – Talkeetna
Continue your journey north and take a break in Wasilla - Home of the Iditarod Trail Headquarter. The unspoiled wilderness area of the Denali State Park offers excellent vistas of the Alaska- and Talkeetna Mountain Range, glaciers and snowcapped mountains. Overnight at a deluxe wilderness lodge with fantastic views of Mount McKinley.

Day 04 Talkeetna
After breakfast you have the option to attend a guided snowmobile tour starting in historic Talkeetna, with a stop for hot beverages and a snack at a remote log cabin overlooking the Talkeetna River. In the afternoon you may enjoy other Winter activities including nordic skiing or snowshoeing on the local trails. Don’t miss the beautiful sunset against the Alaska Range and Mt. McKinley! 

Day 05 Talkeetna – Chena Hot Springs
You continue your journey passing Denali National Park and Fairbanks. After arriving at Chena Hot Springs Resort you may enjoy a bath in the natural mineral hot springs. The area is internationally recognized as the best place to view the Aurora Borealis in the wintertime. The 440-acre resort is also known for its healthy outdoor opportunities in the pristine wilderness of Alaska´s great Interior.

Day 06 Chena Hot Springs
Spend your day as you desire: bath in the different whirlpool tubs, pools and renowned natural outdoor Rock Lake; snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, get a massage, relax or revitalize your spirit. Tonight you have the opportunity again to observe the Northern Lights dancing across the winter skies.

Day 07 Chena Hot Springs – Fairbanks
After breakfast spend some time at Chena Hot Springs before departing for Fairbanks. You may extend your stay and overnight in Fairbanks before heading back home.
