Alaska Winter Adventures

     Northern Lights Viewing
During the dark winter months, between October and March, Alaska has a remarkable phenomenon - the Northern Lights - or Aurora Borealis, that flames across the heavens in varying intensity and form. The aurora can be best viewed north of Fairbanks, Chena Hot Springs, Circle Hot Springs and in Bettles.
Iditarod Race
A must for all sled dog race enthusiasts ! The "last great race on earth" starts in Anchorage and finishes after 1049 miles in Nome. Choose from custom and all inclusive tour programs with daily flights to different checkpoints in the Alaska Range, overnights in remote wilderness lodges and pre/post race programs to Alyeska and Kenai Peninsula.
Sled Dog Tours
What better way to enjoy Alaska than to experience the thrill of being pulled through Alaska's great backcountry by a team of powerful huskies in front of a dog sled! Choose from day and multi-day tours in the Anchorage area, Talkeetna, Denali National Park and Fairbanks.
Skiing
An average annual snowfall of 631 inches makes Alaska a top destination for those looking for quality powder. Enjoy it by heliskiing, snowcat skiing or simply using the lift system at laid-back Alyeska where the deep powder and cruisy pistes are complemented by astonishing views of iceberg-filled Pacific inlets.
Snowmobiling Tours
Experience Alaska's scenic backcountry up close! The vast landscape of the Chugach State Park, Peters Foothills, the Alaska Range, and particularly Mt. McKinley provide a spectacular backdrop for snowmobiling. Tours are ranging from one day to multiple day excursions, suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike.
Winter 4x4 Tours
Experiencing Alaska in the Winter is truly breathtaking. Who can resist the sunny days, the open trails and winters' sound of silence at the end of an active day? Drive along Turnagain Arm with the scenic Kenai Mountains as a perfect backdrop, ski at Alyeska, enjoy a guided snowmobile or horse sleigh tour and watch the Northern Lights dancing across the evening sky.
