Day 01 Whitehorse
Arrival in Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory. Spend the remaining day to explore the sights including MacBride Museum, Old Log Church, SS Klondike Sternwheeler and the Miles Canyon. |

Day 02 Whitehorse - Dawson City (330 mi)
Travel along the Klondike Highway to Dawson City. Along the way stopover at Carmacks, once an important stopping point for the Yukon River steamers and at the Five Finger Rapids with scenic views of the Yukon River. You'll see gold dredge tailings as you approach Dawson.

Day 03 Dawson City
Discover the unique gold rush history of Dawson City. History is tangible here, with artifacts everywhere, several museums, places where you can try your hand at gold panning and the "sternwheeler graveyard". A tour of a bit of the huge Klondike goldfields is a must. At night visit the Diamond Tooth Gertie's Casino with daily vaudeville shows.

Day 04 Dawson City - Kluane National Park (410 mi)
The "Top of the World" Highway rapidly climbs above the tree line where it follows meandering ridge tops and offers endless vistas. Follow the famous Alaska Highway to Haines Junction, bordering the Kluane National Park.

Day 05 Kluane Nat'l Park - Haines - Skagway (150 mi)
Kluane National Park boosts the largest non-polar icefield in the world and is home to Mt. Logan, Canada's highest peak. Follow the Haines Highway, once used by Chilkat Indians to Haines. Enjoy the short ferry ride across Lynn Canal to Skagway.

Day 06 Skagway
Visit the old buildings and historic gold rush places of Skagway. Attend the fascinating National Park Service guided walking tour and walk to the gold rush cemetery and Raid Falls.
* Optional Sightseeing:
Take a day trip to Glacier Bay National Park. Fly to Gustavus in the morning and board the "Spirit of Adventure" for a full day Glacier & Wildlife Cruise. Return to Skagway in the evening.

Day 07 Skagway - Whitehorse (110 mi)
If time allows take the White Pass & Yukon Railroad to the Summit. Travel along the South Klondike Highway and stopover at Carcross Dessert. Return the rental car in Whithorse. Optional tour extension.
